Fredercia Teater
I worked for two years as an inhouse designer for the theater where i had a chance to work with everything from newspaper adds to digital scenography. My daily task was to produce the graphic material and layouts needed for the theaters marketing strategy (both print and digital), help the photographer with edits in peak periods and assist the production with illustration and other visual elements when needed.
Posters
The poster sets the president for how we communicate the show on other platforms. It has to sell the story and atmosphere of the musical, while still conveying the practical information.
At Fredericia Theater took a lot of pride in the vast number of 5- and 6-star reviews that the shows got, and so it became a trademark of the theater, and a requirement to include the large bulk of stars in many of the posters.
Fredericia Theater operated with two types of posters: Pre-premiere and Post-premiere. Before the premiere the posters contained the key-visual and a suitable atmospheric background hinting at the content of the show. After the premiere, the posters used live photos from the shows.
Marketing Material
I have produced a large portion of marketing material for Fredericia Teater between 2018-2020, including playbills, packaging, advertisements and B2B material.
Large Scale Print
When the poster designs had to fill a much larger canvas, it was necessary to expand or merge the existing images to properly encompass the entire surface.
For SEEBACH this meant recreating the light pattern from the poster as a graphical element to use on its own or to merge it with the original image. For Tarzan, the images were merged to showcase more actors.
Show Websites
Fredercia Theater needed separate websites for each show, so each show could have its own base for press material, show information and easily accessible purchase links for campaign use.
The sites had to be simple to set up and work in the theaters pre-existing system for making websites. The layout also had to be easy to navigate, even for people who are not at home online.
